The SYNOT Foundation is once again a patron of the Slovácko Wine and Open Monuments Festival
This year, Uherske Hradiste will once again become the center of one of the region's most important cultural events, the Slovácko Wine and Open Monuments Festival. This festival, which combines the traditional values of Slovácko with winemaking and historical heritage, will continue with its 21st year and will take place on September 7 and 8, 2024.
As in previous years, the SYNOT Foundation will be a significant patron of the event, contributing one million Czech crowns to the budget of this festival.
"As a co-founder of this event, which we traditionally support through the SYNOT Foundation, I feel immense pride in what we have all achieved together. It is an honor that my father, brother, and I, along with the then representatives of the city and the Cultural Club, were able to be at the birth of this magnificent event. Each year, the city of Uherske Hradiste becomes the heart of ethnographic activities, creating a vibrant mosaic of traditions brought to life by talented performers of all ages. For me, the festival is much more than just a celebration of wine and heritage. It is also a profound expression of respect for our roots and traditions," said Ivo Valenta, initiator of the event and founder of the SYNOT Foundation.
Also this year, as part of the varied program of the Slovácko Wine and Open Monuments Festival, the traditional Vinohradská Street Journey, which is one of the great visitor attractions, will take place for the seventeenth time. This year's Vinohradská Street Journey will once again open the doors of the town's historic wine cellars, including the greatest Baroque treasures. Among the main attractions are, for example, the wine cellar U Lisu, the Maratice Wine House or the Maratice Wine Cellars, which will enchant visitors with an approximately three hundred meters long wine cellar labyrinth spanning six levels. More than twenty outdoor wine and gourmet stations will be accompanied by a musical performance by nine cimbalom musical acts. Both local winemakers and guests from popular wine destinations such as Polesovice, Borsice, Borsice near Blatnice, Bzenec, Blatnicka, Knezdub, and others will present their wine. A novelty this year will be an afternoon family program. Entry to the event is, as always, completely free.
